Row, Row, Row Your Boat!

Jeremiah has gotten really into singing songs with us lately. His two favorite are "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" that he sings with Daddy and "Jesus Love Me" that he sings with Mommy. Here's a cute little video Jeremiah & Josh singing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat".

Grilling with Daddy

Summer is a time for grilling out. It's too hot to turn on the oven and who doesn't love that delicious grill smell & taste! When Daddy grills on the deck, so does Jeremiah (or he can get quite grumpy). Thankfully his grill is very portable.

See, I'm grilling just like Daddy over there!

Daddy had to give J specific instructions about how to correctly use the turner.

Armed & dangerous!

Jeremiah's first grilling lesson: Complete!

Little J's LEGO Creation

You have to check out Josh's post on Jeremiah's LEGO Creation...too cute!

Let's play...

Bring Daddy EVERY RANDOM item in the room!

One night between bath and bedtime, Jeremiah started bringing Josh a few random items from around the room. Before we knew it, Josh was overrun with blankets, pillows, balls, a few shoes, LEGO, a snack cup, building blocks, a t-ball stand and who knows what else! I thought it was TOO funny and had to snap a few pictures (of course!)

Looks like Daddy liked all the attention from his boy!

Crazy Morning Hair

It's Saturday morning, there's snow on the ground (again), and Daddy & Jeremiah have some CRAZY morning hair...but I still think they are so stinkin' cute!

Holiday Season Wrap-Up

We spent our last long weekend of the holiday season just hanging out at home with our little family. Sunday, the Wolfpack played Florida in basetball. My men were all dressed in their red & white. They look so cute!

This is what they looked like after we lost the game in OT with a STUPID fouling strategy.

Check out the last few seconds of the game...

I can't believe that kid made that shot. Ugh...it's going to be a LONG season.

I just think this picture is ironic since Josh & I went to "Cow College" or as some like to refer to it, "Moo-U"

I finally upgraded all of J's Duplo blocks out of that hideous orange container and into a basket suitable for our family room. He's loving it...can't you tell?

And yes, that is the TV remote in the basket with him. Silly boy! "Like father, like son" I suppose.

Speaking of the father, or as I sometimes call him, my LEGO Lover, he has created his own blog. He's already hi-jacked a few of my photos, so I thought I'd take one of his. Hope on over & read about his meanderings.

It must be genetic...

Little J stumbled upon some of his Christmas presents. Oops! Will definitely have to be more careful next year. Anyway, this was supposed to be one of his Christmas presents, but since he liked it so much I just had to let him have it now. It's a big tub of LEGO (look honey - spelled correctly & used in correct form...I know you're proud!). I thought the Duplo Bricks might be too small for him to manage now since he was used to the Quatro Bricks...boy was I wrong, he's already a pro. This LEGO obsession must be genetic. But what a fun activity for J & J to enjoy together!

What's up?

Long time, no blog. So what have we been up to?

Well...Jeremiah went to his first UNC/Duke football game with Mimi & G-pa. It seems he had a good time & I'll be sure to upload some pictures of that event later when I get them from Mimi. Josh & I still think he should have worn an NCSU outfit to the game, but others thought differently. Luckily, the Pack did manage to beat the Turtles last weekend - wahoooo!!!

This week, Josh had not 4, but 5 wisdom teeth removed. It was ugly. VERY UGLY. Poor guy. I have a ridiculously embarrassing photo of him that I really want to post, but I'm going to be a good wife & not post it. It's definitely taking a LOT of willpower. So Josh could recover in peace, J stayed Monday night & Tuesday with Nana & Popa, then headed east to stay with Mimi & G-pa the remainder of the week. It's been a nice break from toddler-distractions this week, but I'm ready to get my hands on the little guy, give him a big "squzzle" & lots of kisses!

During my "free time" this week...in between 20-min icepack (I mean frozen pea bag) changes, meds every 4 hours around the clock (yes...I set my alarm for 3am & 7am to be sure he didn't have a lapse in pain meds...I think I deserve a good wife award), making LOTS of pudding and trying to find anything soft & not too hot for my "patient" to eat...I've cleaned the house, caught up on laundry, and started a Christmas Quilt! I think it's going to be so fun & funky - a great twist on a traditional holiday. Check it out so far...

I also finished the Twilight series this week. I totally didn't think I'd get into this & I definitely did. I didn't want to put the books down & was sad to see the story end. I liked the movie - it wasn't fabulous (the book is always better), but I did enjoy it & I'm excited for New Moon to come out in 1 week!

And last, but CERTAINLY not least...the basement!!! I cannot even begin to explain my excitement over our new space. Popa & his guys have been working down there this week since we've had a second coming of The Flood thanks to remnants of Hurricane Ida. The drywall is up & ready to be finished, then painting & flooring...YAY!!!!

What a cutie pie!

He's just cute enough to eat! So we tried... :)

NC State Fair...A Whole Lotta Happy!

The 3 of us headed to the NC State Fair Sunday morning...it was cloudy & COLD!! Not exactly the great fair weather we were hoping for, but we all had lots of layers on & were determined to make the best of it.

J bundled & ready to ride!

First stop - to see the animals. J was very interested.

He really liked the cows :)

Checking out all the baby chickens with Daddy

Jeremiah & I milked a cow! Well, I milked while Jeremiah sat in my lap, but he was really excited to be so close to the cow.

He reached up to pet the cow several times...it was so cute!

Checking out the cow's head instead of looking at the camera :)

In celebration of our milking, we got a carton chocolate milk & Jeremiah actually drank quite a bit! Pretty good considering his hatred of milk.

There was a LEGO exhibit set up that we HAD to visit of course.

Daddy & Jeremiah playing with the Duplo blocks.

Check out this LEGO SUV!

The 2 guys had fun checking out all the LEGO.

This was at the end of our trip...we were all cold & J was getting really tired.

Hill Ridge Farms - Pumpkin Patch

This past Saturday we went to Hill Ridge Farms and had a BLAST! Seriously, I was expecting us to go on a hayride & pick some pumpkins. This was so much better...they had a hay house, a corn hut, hay maze, giant slide, animals, train rides, and tons more! Here are some pictures from our fun trip!

Brannan Family Picture where everyone is actually looking at the picture.
Jeremiah's face is hilarious in this pic!

Mom...always wanting to Gem Mine. Why? Nobody knows.

We all rode this giant slide (except Jim - our camera man) and had a blast.
Mom especially enjoyed it, can you tell?

A picture of the two of us...amazing!
My two favorite guys :)
Not so sure about the Hay House

While picking pumpkins, J must have gotten tired because he used this pumpkin to take a seat.

Intensely scrutinizing the pumpkins...gotta pick the best one!
What a mischievous, but adorable face!
